HIKE WHITEWATER PRESERVE IN 2008  On November 6 we had our monthly social at the former Whitewater Trout Farm. Also invited to the potluck was the Coachella Valley Hiking Club. We were informed by Frazier Haney, the Preserve Manager, that the area was purchased by the Wildlands Conservancy and will be opened to the public for use in 2008. All were excited to hear that this will open up trails to connect with the PCT, Mission Creek and Pipes Canyon areas.
