Joshua Tree National Park's Lost Palms Oasis and Mastodon Peak Trails Now Open  Lost Palms Oasis Trail and Mastodon Peak Trail near the Cottonwood Springs Visitor Center in Joshua Tree National Park has reopened. If you have any questions or concerns about the reopening, contact the Rangers. The best way to always get up-to-date information is to call the main JTNP number at 760-367-5500.   ATTENTION ALL hike leaders, hikers & dog owners: We have been notified that 3 lambs have been born, very recently, on the south side of Ramon Peak, south of Palm Desert and Ranch Mirage.
