We will also be cutting and marking some new trails that will allow people some new areas to explore on the grounds. Please meet at 730am at the visitors center. The reward at the end of the hike is a collection of water-sculpted, polished rock slabs full of deep potholes. Short side treks lead to a waterfall and to an overlook above the Wonderland of Rocks. The Shannon Trail in Palm Springs. This is one of Palm Springs great trails and a challenging hike with great views of the city. It is in need of some maintenance including cleaning of water checks, berm cutting and raking of loose rock and cobble. Even when we are done, it will still be steep, but thats part of its charm. PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF MEETING PLACE. We are now going to meet on Araby Road in Palm Springs. Araby road runs south off of Hwy 111 about a mile west of the car dealers. This is over the bridge and around the corner from the dealers and before you reach the Smoke Tree area. Once you turn South on Araby, Continue south until it crosses the wash and you will see a small parking area on the left. Meeting time is 730am.
