In addition to our great hikes, Desert Trails holds a social once a month, starting in October and ending in June. The socials are usually held on the first Tuesday of the month at a local restaurant/bar that offers "Happy Hour" specials on food and drinks. Members are responsible for their own drinks. Gauging by the number of attendees, and the smiles on their faces, these outings have become quite popular. It is a great way to meet new friends as well as catch up on the latest hiking news.

Check the Hiking Schedule for the monthly location, date, and time. E-mail "Evites" are sent out to our members with internet access. Be sure to add "info@evite.com" to your safe list. If you do not have internet access, check the schedule, and call in your R.S.V.P. to the phone number provided. Please R.S.V.P. by the Friday before the social. You do NOT need to call and confirm if you have answered the Evite. All Evites contain a map and directions.
